My name is Tara Robinson, I was born and raised in Freeport,Grand Bahama, Bahamas. I began my education in the Bahamas at Freeport Anglican High School (BMES) until I was the age of 14. I then continued my education as a boarding student at St.Andrews High School in Boca Raton,Florida. During my time at St. Andrews I was highly active with Resident Life as a Resident Assistant during my Junior and Senior year. I was also a four year varsity member and Captain of the Track and Field Team. I participated in other activities such as the International Club and as a student teacher in the Summerbridge program. I graduated high school in 2008 and attended Catholic University of America. As a freshman at CUA I co-founded  and served as President of the Black Student Alliance, to help form a community and support system for minority students.The organization is now an integral part of CUA's Student Life. I transferred to Rollins College my junior year where I received my B.A in International Business. During my time at Rollins, I served as the Vice President for the Caribbean Student Association. In 2013 I completed my MBA with a concentration in Fashion Management at LIM College.During my time at LIM, I was actively involved in Black Retail Action Group and other programs such as Fashion Campus NYC.I aspire to excel as a retail analyst for top fashion and beauty clients. I I am currently working towards a retail analyst certification; in which I am gaining knowledge of statistical concepts, predictive analytics skills and its applications (SAS, SQL and Excel) within the retail industry. This will allow me to make strategic solutions with supportive data to track the businesses progression. I hope to further my career as consultant for fashion and beauty companies expanding globally especially in the Latin American and Caribbean markets. I want to use my in-depth knowledge of the retail industry, analytic skills and experience in this geographic sector to target new emerging markets. It is crucial that I give back to my community which has given me so much, through career exploration workshops within the fashion industry for young men and women. I hope to aid in the further development of the retail industry in Latin America and the Caribbean.
